Legal

Privacy Policy

Own Silent International Limited (“Own Silent”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use our website, order custom-made parts or genuine and used parts sourced to order, submit order-verification information, or communicate with us.

1. Information We Collect

Account, Order & Contact Information

  • Full name, email address and contact number.
  • Billing and shipping address.
  • Approved custom specifications, vehicle fitment details, part numbers and agreed condition for genuine or used parts sourced to order.
  • Order, invoice, payment-status and transaction-reference information. Payment-card credentials are processed by the applicable payment service provider rather than stored by Own Silent where the provider handles the payment form.

Identity & Vehicle Verification (KYC)

For paid orders that require verification, we may request information reasonably needed to verify the purchaser, vehicle ownership/association, vehicle specification and fitment.

  • Full legal name and limited identity-document information.
  • A copy or image of an accepted identity document when required for verification.
  • Vehicle VIN/chassis number, make, model and manufacturing year.
  • Vehicle registration document and/or vehicle photographs where required.
  • Verification status, review notes and the date of submission/review.

We request only information reasonably necessary for the verification purpose. Customers should not provide unrelated sensitive information that we have not requested.

Technical Information

  • Browser type, IP address, device identifiers and operating system.
  • Access times, pages visited, cookies and analytics information.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Process payments, orders, invoices and shipments.
  • Verify customer identity, vehicle details, VIN and fitment information before approving an order for fulfilment.
  • Identify suspicious, inconsistent or potentially fraudulent transactions and protect customers and Own Silent.
  • Record approved custom specifications and sourcing requirements, and communicate order, KYC, manufacturing, sourcing and shipping updates.
  • Provide customer service and technical support.
  • Meet applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, dispute-resolution and record-keeping obligations.
  • Improve website functionality and product offerings.
  • Send marketing communications where permitted and where any required consent has been obtained.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent KYC documents or other personal information. We may disclose information only where reasonably necessary to operate the service, protect legitimate interests, comply with applicable law, or fulfil an order, including to:

  • Payment service providers for transaction processing and payment-risk controls.
  • Secure cloud-storage, hosting and IT providers used to operate our systems.
  • Shipping and logistics partners where information is required to deliver an order.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, financial institutions, competent authorities or regulators where disclosure is reasonably necessary or legally required.
  • Analytics or marketing providers for non-KYC website information where permitted by applicable law and relevant consent settings.

4. KYC Document Security

Identity and vehicle-verification documents are stored separately from public website images. Access is restricted to authorized order-review functions and documents are not intentionally published on public product pages. Administrative document access uses time-limited access links rather than permanent public links.

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted HTTPS connections, access controls and restricted storage. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

5. KYC Decisions & Order Status

A successful payment does not by itself complete KYC approval. A paid order may remain in KYC Pending or KYC Review status until the requested identity and vehicle information has been reviewed. If information is missing, inconsistent or cannot reasonably be verified, we may request resubmission or additional information and may reject or cancel the order in accordance with the applicable Terms & Conditions, Return & Refund Policy, payment-provider rules and mandatory law.

6. Cookies & Browser Storage

The OWNSILENT website uses cookies, local storage and session storage to run the shop and, with your permission, measure website usage and enable optional integrations. Essential only rejects both optional categories. Accept all allows both. Manage preferences lets you save Analytics and Marketing separately; both start switched off.

Necessary shop functions

Sign-in, shopping bag, checkout, security and your saved consent choice use necessary technologies. Rejecting optional categories does not prevent shopping or placing an order. Payment providers process information needed for a payment under their own privacy terms.

Analytics and performance — optional

OWNSILENT analytics measures page and product views, scroll depth, selected clicks, visit duration, referral and campaign information, device characteristics, errors and loading performance. It uses pseudonymous browser and session identifiers. Google Analytics, when configured, and Zoho PageSense also measure traffic and on-site behaviour. These browser analytics requests are blocked until Analytics is allowed.

Marketing and multipurpose tools — optional

Marketing permits configured advertising and personalisation tags. Google Tag Manager can load tags for several purposes, so we load its container only when both Analytics and Marketing are allowed. The same restriction applies to Zoho SalesIQ chat and visitor tracking, the Google Customer Reviews badge, and Google Reader Revenue Manager on eligible editorial pages. Email and WhatsApp contact links remain available without these optional tools.

Cookie consent does not subscribe you to newsletters or Google review emails. On an eligible order page, you can separately choose to show Google's review invitation. Before loading that service we explain that your email, order reference, delivery country and estimated delivery date will be shared with Google; Google then asks whether you want its survey.

Provider information

Providers may receive technical data such as your IP address and device information when their tools load. Their cookie names and durations depend on the enabled tools and provider settings. Read Google's cookie information, Zoho's cookie policy and SalesIQ's cookie list.

Change or withdraw your choice

Use Cookie settings in the footer or the control below at any time. When an existing choice changes, the page reloads to apply it. On withdrawal we remove known optional cookies accessible to this site and its analytics identifiers. We cannot delete cookies on another provider's domain or undo information already sent. Browser controls can remove additional stored data. A revised notice or an expired choice may require a fresh decision. Declining cookies does not erase order records or other information needed to fulfil your purchase.

7. Your Rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or other handling of personal information. Some information may need to be retained where required for an active transaction, legal obligation, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute or other lawful purpose.

Privacy and data requests can be sent to sales@ownsilent.international.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting, security, fraud, warranty, dispute and transaction-record requirements. KYC documents should not be kept longer than reasonably necessary for verification and any applicable record-keeping or dispute obligations. Retention periods may therefore vary by order and jurisdiction.

9. International Data Transfers

Information may be processed or stored outside the customer's country where our service providers or business operations are located, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

10. Third-Party Links & Children's Privacy

Third-party sites and payment services operate under their own privacy terms. Our services are intended for adults purchasing automotive products, and we do not knowingly request KYC documents from children.
